How Do I Get a Notification When I Reveal a No Caller ID Call?
Want a heads-up the moment Traceback reveals a hidden caller? Turn on notifications and you'll see the revealed number as soon as it comes through. Here's how to enable them.
Turn On Notifications
- Open the Traceback app and go to Settings.
- Tap Notifications.
- You'll be sent to your phone's notification settings for Traceback.
- Enable notifications there.
The first time you use the app, you'll just get a pop-up asking to allow notifications, tap to allow and you're set.
How It Works
Once notifications are on, Traceback alerts you when it reveals a No Caller ID or Unknown call. You'll see the revealed number, plus a name when it's in our database or matches a synced contact.
Privacy Note
Notifications show the revealed caller info on your device. Manage them in your phone's settings anytime if you'd prefer fewer alerts.
Troubleshooting
I'm not getting reveal notifications. First, run a server sync (Settings → Sync with Server), it's the usual fix for notification issues. Then confirm notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications.
I tapped Notifications but nothing happened. It sends you to your phone's settings. Enable Traceback notifications there, then return to the app.
Notifications worked, then stopped. Sync with the server again and make sure the app is updated. Phone updates can reset notification permissions.
